Mototrip 2025 - Seventh day – Sardinia
I slept so well.
I had a quick chat with my son and realized I was starting to miss him.
Still, I couldn’t wait for a cappuccino.
And it exceeded everything.
It honestly felt like a piece of heaven.
I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good coffee before.
A calm morning, coffee in hand, looking at the pool.
Simple, quiet, exactly right.
We got ready, got on the bikes, filled the tanks, and hit the road.
After about an hour, we stopped again.
Another cappuccino.
Veni and I shared two pastries.
Delicious.
Thirty minutes later, we were back on the road.
The views kept getting better.
Nature everywhere.
Bridges over wide rivers.
Small mountain villages that felt untouched.
We stopped in Orgosolo for panini and water.
The city is known for drawings on the walls.
I didn’t really like them, so I didn’t take any photos.
After another hour, we reached Santa Maria Navarrese.
We stayed at Hotel Plammas.
The place looked perfect for a sea vacation.
Close to the beach, calm, beautiful.
And then — gelato.
The best I’ve ever had.
Delicious, creamy, unforgettable.
Veni and I shared four scoops.
And I still wanted more.
We sat, eating slowly, looking at the sea.
Then Veni realized he forgot his swimming goggles.
We went back to the hotel.
On the way, we saw the others — also eating gelato.
We laughed, forgot about the goggles, and got four more scoops.
No regrets.
After that, we all went to the beach.
Everyone was in a good mood.
The weather was warm, the water looked unreal.
And this time — I went in.
It wasn’t cold at all.
It felt perfect.
I swam a little and just stayed there, enjoying it.
Later, we went to lie in the sun.
At some point, we decided to go for a walk.
There weren’t many good places around, but we found a small shop, bought some food and wine, and went back to the hotel.
Veni and I waited for the others so we could go out for dinner together.
They had been there the year before and knew where to go.
We ended up in a pizzeria.
Great pizza, great price.
I had some wine with Veni and one of the guys.
We laughed so much that at one point I wondered if we were too loud for everyone else.
After dinner, we decided one thing:
more gelato.
Of course.
The day ended quietly.
I read my book.
And felt completely at ease.
It was an awesome day.
More photos here.
If you ever feel like happiness can be something small and simple, you’re probably right.
